Quiko Hand Formula: Hand rearing for parrots and parakeets - Hand feeding of young birds

Complete feed.

Prepare mixture by age:
- hatching to 2 days: 1 part Hand-Formula + 6 parts water
- 2 to 5 days: 1 part Hand-Formula + 2 to 3 parts water
- 5 days to feeding strength: 1 part Hand-Formula + 1.5 to 2 parts water

Process according to the table in the instructions for use, rearing feed and warm water in a clean, hygienic container to a creamy mass. Mix thoroughly and allow to stand for 1 minute. Cool the prepared mixture to 40°C.

Feed the finished mixture using a disposable syringe or tube. Usually each feed is about 10-12% of the bird's body weight. Disinfect all feeding utensils before each use. If supplements are desired, fruits and vegetables (such as pureed baby food) can be added. However, this should not exceed 20% of the total diet.

Do not reuse prepared mixture! Put in the trash and prepare again for each feeding. Store in a cool and dry place. Tightly close the can after each use.

For longer storage, store in the refrigerator or freezer.
