Cleaning dog paws: 4 steps after the walk
Step 1: Clean the dog paws
Clean your dog's paws after a walk, for example, with our Canosept universal care wipes. The gentle, ready-to-use wipes are also easy to use on sensitive areas around the eyes and ears as well as on the entire coat.
And best of all: thanks to aloe vera and witch hazel, our universal care wipes provide gentle care and soothe skin irritations.
Step 2: Clean the dog paws with clear water
In case of extreme dirt or after a walk in the snow, on the beach or in the field, it helps to additionally clean the paws thoroughly with lukewarm, clear water afterwards. You can do this either under running water or with the help of a bowl or washcloth. You can also remove stubborn and possibly invisible dirt, such as antifreeze, fertilizer, etc., in this way.
Step 3: Dry off!
Whether your paws got wet during a walk or you rinsed them off, it is important that you not only clean them, but also dry them thoroughly. This is because damp and soggy skin can create an excellent microclimate for bacteria and yeast, leading to skin infection. This is true for the paw pads due to the keratinized epithelium.
Step 4: Care dog paws
After you have cleaned your dog's paws, we recommend using Canosept paw care. With the help of high-quality ingredients such as apricot oil and panthenol, the paw care provides rich care and moisture for the paws. It is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy film and thus greasy spots on the floor, and also protects against drying out and cracking.
